The Preparatory School
It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Marist Preparatory School web pages. The Marist Preparatory is a small, happy and caring school for girls aged 2½-11. Your daughters will be given 100% of our time, effort and attention during their time at the school. My staff, both teaching and non teaching, apart from being very highly qualified and experienced, give above and beyond the boundaries of their duty to provide a first class, well rounded education and preparation for life.
The Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) conducted an inspection of our school in May, 2008 and commended it in many areas. The ISI report highlighted that the personal development of pupils is ‘outstanding’ and that staff and pupil relationships are ‘excellent and based on mutual respect’ with ‘Enjoyment… a key factor in many lessons.’ The report also noted that ‘fund-raising for charities and ‘good causes’ both local and global is considerable.’
Ofsted inspected our Early Years classes in April 2005. In every area of learning we were awarded the highest possible grading. The report confirms our commitment to excellence in all areas of teaching and learning and reflects the rich environment that our girls enjoy.
Both of these reports can be viewed in full by clicking on this link: http://www.isi.net/report/0650.htm
The school is unique among schools, built firmly on its Marist foundations and Christian principles but with eyes firmly on the future of your girls and their needs. Please come and visit us, we will tell you more and you can experience for yourself the atmosphere of security, respect, confidence, motivation and determination to succeed. We will be very happy to see you at any time to suit, just call to arrange an appointment and decide for yourself! Our school office can be contacted on 01344 626137 or alternatively send us an email to: admissionsprep@themaristschools.com
Our Mission Statement
