Three students from the Marist Senior School are competing in the ‘Worldwize Quiz’ held at St Mary’s School Ascot on Thursday 12th November. Melissa Powell-Edwards (8A) Orla Tarn (9M) and Gemma Wills (9A) have been revising their Geography trivia all through half term. They were chosen after achieving the top highest scores in a geography quiz which was taken by all students from year 7-10. The ‘Worldwize Quiz’ will have a number of rounds for the girls to answer questions testing their knowledge of capital cities, country outlines, geography in the news, fieldwork, and the 2012 Olympics. Mrs Guinney, Head of Geography, is excited about the competition coming up as "it will be a real test of the girls knowledge and mental stamina. We are up against a number of schools and Melissa, Orla and Gemma have worked extremely hard." Mrs Guinney and Mr Roberts will accompany and support the girls on Thursday. So good luck girls!
