Marist Sporting Stars

Congratulations to Marist Sixth Form student, Sophia Candappa who played for England in the U19 European Netball Championships at the weekend at Loughborough. Their matches were against Malta, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. The England Netball team were undefeated all their matches with their final score against Wales totally an impressive 60-17.

Olivia Chilton, a Year 11 pupil at the Marist Senior School, has been selected for the England Hockey squad 2010. She was selected for the trial weekend at Lilleshall National sports centre last November after being talent scouted, and recently went through her second round of trials in February. She will be joining the England U16 Squad in April 2010. Congratulations Olivia!
