Father Adrian Walker celebrated a special Mass on Tuesday 24th June at the Marist Preparatory school for thirteen girls who have recently taken their First Holy Communion at local parishes in the Ascot area including Sacred Heart Church (Sunningdale), St Peter and St John (Camberley and Bagshot), and St Francis (Ascot).  Mrs Jenny Peachey, Headteacher said “the girls are all very proud to join in the Eucharistic Sacrament for the first time and to become active members of the Catholic Church.  As a Catholic school, spirituality and moral development are very important aspects of school life and participating in First Holy Communion is an important step in that spiritual journey.”

The Marist Preparatory School has recently received a very positive Diocesan validation of its religious ethos following a recent inspection.  Christian values are fully embraced by students and staff alike and the school encourages its students to get involved in developing the content of school Services.  This special celebratory Mass had the theme of the birth of St John the Baptist and was beautifully led by class 3J with prayers and readings.
