Another successful year was celebrated at the annual Prize Giving ceremony in November.This year's principal guest speaker was former pupil Trudy Millar who talked about her time at the Marist, the unique qualities of Marist girls and her career in PR. Trudy currently works as a Director for DSA on the 20 Century Fox account and has also been dedicated to fundraising through projects and sports activities overseas including, cycling across Mongolia for MacMillian Cancer Relief, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro for Whizz Kids and setting up a school and playground in Namibia through Raleigh International.

Congratulation to Emma Webb and her South African fiancé Paul MacNeill, who got engaged on 11 December 2006 in Cape Town. Emma and Paul met at work 5 years ago and are still both working for the same company! They are getting married in the UK August 2007. Catherine Boot, who Emma has known since they met at the Marist age 4, will be her Maid of Honor. We wish Emma and Paul all the very best for their wedding in the summer.

Congratulations to Claire Carter and her partner Jonathan Charlton (JC) who got engaged in Richmond Park on Christmas Eve 2006. Clare and JC will be getting married in July 2007, we wish them both the very best for their big day.

Congratulations to Annette Fenning and Michael Meier who got engaged on Christmas Day 2006 in Michael's home town in Switzerland. Annette left the Marist in 1994. Our best wishes to you both.

Best wishes Catherine Gehring and partner David who were engaged in May 2005 on the Gold Coast. Catherine and David now live in Australia, after meeting in Brisbane. They will be returning to Yorkshire in October 2006 for their wedding. Catherine left the Marist in 1992.

Best wishes to Trudy Millar and Start Monk who were engaged this May and will be getting married in late 2007. Many congratulations to you both. Trudy left the Marist in 1991.

Congratulations to Davina Durward-Brown and her partner Ross Paterson who got engaged in Green Park with a picnic on 4 July. Davina and Ross met in Sydney in 2001.

Congratulations to Deborah Wadwell and David Masters who got engaged on the August 11th 2005. Deborah left the Marist in 1994.

Congratulations to Emma Innes and Mark Ballard who married on 23 August 2008. Emma's Maristine friends Abigail Dias, Lucy Thompson and Victoria Kight were bridesmaids. Emma and Mark now live in Lewes, East Sussex.

Many congratulations to Johanna Knowles and Neil Record who were married at Wilcote Church in Oxfordshire on 8 July 2006. For those that remember her, Johanna's mother Rev. Jane Knowles (former music teacher at the Marist) presided as vicar. Marist friends Nichola Buchanan (1984-91), Charlotte Saunders (née Page, 1980-91), Cathryn Harker (1977-91) and Sarah Newell (1984-91) all attended. Johanna was at the Marist from 1979-1989.

Congratulations to Samantha Cappleman and James Hickman who were married on the Indonesian island of Bali on 28 October 2006.Their witness was Alexandra Stubbings (nee Deacon) an ex-Marist girl and her daughter, Gabrielle, Samantha's god daughter, was their flower girl. Jamie and Samantha have been living in Hong Kong for 4½years. Samantha left the Marist in 1990.

Congratulations to Sarah Andrews and James Wyke who were married in Winkfield near Ascot on the 12 August 2006 at Lambrook Haileybury School. Sarah left the Marist in 1990. Sarah Piper and Jo Cynes, both past pupils spoke at the wedding. Best wishes to you both.

Many congratulations to Louise McIntyre and Matthew Wallenstein who announced their engagement on Saturday 3rd December 2005. The happy couple were married in October 2006. Louise left the Marist in 1994.

Warm congratulations to Beatrice Brooks and Grant Simmonds who were married in Sunningdale in July 2006. Beatrice left the Marist in 1994. Both Beatrice and Grant are now teachers.

Many congratulations go to Vicky McGeown and husband Richard Cuthill who were marriedon 17 December 2005. Vicky and Richard now live in Colchester. Vicky left the Marist in 1995.

Our best wishes to Anne Kazimirski, and James Goodman who were married in Cornwall in June 2005. They now live in London. Anne attended the Marist from 1986-1994

Grace Ruffell, daughter of Lisa and Mark Ruffell was born on 21st July 2005. Grace weighted 8.1lbs. Lisa left the Marist in 1990, she was previously Lisa Barbieri. Grace is Lisa and Marks second child, Matthew was born on 17th July 2002.

Charlie Philpott, son of Hannah and Alec Philpott was born on 12th February 2005. Charlie weighted 7.6lbs. Hannah left the Marist in 1994. She was previously Hannah Turner. Her sister Laura also attended the Marist. Many congratulations to Hannah and Alec.
