MFA Events
The Marist Friends Association host numerous events and fundraising projects throughout the school year which include theatre trips and family events such as fun days, quizzes and discos. In addition to fundraising, our aim is to give parents and families an opportunity to meet each other and socialise in a relaxed environment. The MFA also provide refreshments and catering at school organised events such as open days, concerts, plays and parents evenings.

Quiz Night - 13TH NOVEMBER 2010
The annual MFA Quiz Night is always a very well supported fundraising event which gives parents and friends the opportunity to test their general knowledge in an enjoyable way! The event is usually held at the Preparatory School and is a relaxed and informal evening for all to enjoy.
Welcome Evenings for New Parents
During September, the MFA staff from each school are always pleased to hold special evenings to welcome all new families to the school. The Preparatory School offers a New Parents Evening which gives new parents the chance to meet each other over a glass of wine and also to speak to the teachers and headteacher, Mrs Peachey.
At the Senior School, a Year 7 Welcome Evening is held in the main hall. The evening again provides a wonderful opportunity for new families to meet one another and to talk with members of the teaching staff, whilst enjoying a glass of wine and buffet supper.
Spring Ball
The Spring Charity Ball is the highlight of the MFA event calendar. In 2009, the theme of the Ball was ‘A Night at the Oscars’ which was held at the Wentworth Golf Club. The MFA is proud to announce that the event raised over £18,000 in 2009 in support of Helen & Douglas House children and young adults’ hospice and The Marist Schools. A charity auction was held which included items such as a limited edition signed print of Lewis Hamilton, 2010 Ryder Cup tickets and sought after tickets for ‘X Factor’ and ‘Dancing on Ice’ shows. The auction was hosted by Mr Tom O’Connor. In 2010, the theme was 'Back to Cool' which took parents and friends of the Marist back to their school days. This event and auction raised just over £23,000 for the charity Christopher's Smile and The Marist Schools.

Parent Dances
As a more informal alternative to the Spring Ball, the MFA also organises dance evenings for parents that include a buffet supper. These events are generally held in the Senior School main hall and are very relaxed occasions such as barn dances and our upcoming 'Curry on Dancing' evening in October!
Pupil Discos
The MFA sponsors an annual disco at the Preparatory School giving the girls a chance to pull on their dancing shoes and enjoy a few hours in the early evening dancing with their friends. These events are usually held in the main hall at the Prep.
